Milky Way galaxy over an abandoned railroad - Massachusetts

What began as a vision several months ago finally became an image after I located this abandoned railroad and spent some time creating this scene.  Normally, a single railroad track smoothly leads the eyes into the distance.  In this case, the track splits and creates a disharmony for the viewer, but the scene is quickly pulled back together by the horizon glow.  Because the galaxy is somewhat mysterious, I enjoyed composing the scene in a way that adds a subtle discomfort as it is viewed.
