It was an overcast and misty afternoon when I set out to Revere Beach. There were reports of piping plover nests, and I was wondering if any chicks had hatched yet. To my surprise I was greeted with three or four young families, and spent some time photographing them. At some point I looked out at the water and realized the low clouds had moved in very close. Knowing that this light would let the teal water glow, I quickly switched mindsets and searched for the perfect foreground. Somewhere along the beach I found this small jetty, composed the scene, and waited until the tide came in past the rocks. It was a serene atmosphere, and the final image did not disappoint.
