Hawk Falls - Hickory Run State Park, Pennsylvania

Hickory Run State Park and the trail system that leads to this beautiful waterfall are home to a unique encounter for me - acres of lush rhododendron that blanket the forest and occasionally even provide a canopy over the trail.  Though a rushed visit to the area due to a business trip, I enjoyed the crystal-clear water and the few moments of solitude at the falls.  The green foliage and turquoise water made for an easy composition, and the recent rain filled the waterfall with just enough volume for a medium exposure.
